Product Overview
CuraSene™ HomePlus Sensors Kit Bundle with Bed Sensor
A solution that does not use cameras or consist of wearables, just various types of sensors that are installed throughout a home that self-learn the behavior of the individual(s) living alone. Because the DDC Cloud 'self-learns' the behavior of those who are 'aging in place', there is no 'programming' involved of the system and the caregiver will not suffer from 'alarm fatigue'. Caregivers are provided an app and up to 5 caregivers can be associated to the same individual who is aging in place. The sensors can be self-installed in less than 30 minutes.
HomePlus Kit is suitable for a home with:
- Two outside doors
- A Hall
- Two bathrooms
- Kitchen
- Living room
- One hobby room
No sensor needs to be hung in the bedroom, because the CuraSene™ system teaches itself what the usual sleeping times of the user are. In addition, there is a door sensor mounted on the refrigerator or kitchen cabinet.
CuraSene™ HomePlus
Enables the elderly living alone to remain safely at home, for as long as possible. A service of Data Driven Care, CuraSene™ is an easy to use solution that provides valuable information to children, friends, or neighbors of a loved one who lives alone. The data provided can indicate that ‘all is good’, that ‘something needs attention’, or that ‘something urgent needs attention now’.Preventive Care Data
CuraSeneTM HomePlus is the easiest way for caregivers, who cannot be physically present, to have peace of mind about an individual’s safety. In addition, CuraSeneTM HomePlus also alerts to potential health risks such as an increased risk of falling or of possible dehydration in the summer. Early identification of these risks allows for actions to be taken to change behavior and prevent potential harm.
Alerts from CuraSene™
Unlike other similar solutions, CuraSene™ HomePlus is ‘self-learning’. It ‘passively’ collects all types of data using various types of sensors. Passive means no cameras are used and there is no need for any wearable types of devices. After an initial period of learning that establishes a ‘norm’, detection of activity that is outside of the ‘normal self-learned behavior’ of the individual that is being cared for is shared with caregivers.
Examples of the types of negatively trending detection that are shared with caregivers include:
- Falling, based on inactivity
- Not getting home in the evening
- Wandering during the night
- Not getting up in the morning
- Remaining in the bathroom
- Food intake seems to be lower
- A reduction in the walking speed within the home
- Increase bathroom activity, particularly in the evening
- Difficulty with sleeping the recommended number of hours
EASY TO SETUP & USE
There’s absolutely nothing to wear and no need to turn equipment on and off. Just slip the ultra-thin sensor under the mattress. When the individual goes to sleep, it automatically starts measuring, and data will be available for deep insight from your smartphone or tablet each morning.*The Bed Sensor does not work as a stand-alone device.
The Bed Sensor only works when the location has an active CuraSene™ HomePlus Sensors Kit.
NOTE: MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED
CuraSene™ Home Plus service requires you to pay a monthly subscription starting at $49.95/mo. There are no long-term contracts and you get support for any question or issue while the service is active.
Typical Set-up of CuraSene™
In order to keep the cost of the CuraSene™ Sensors Kit low for the caregiver and ensure the reliable collection of the data, the typical CuraSene enabled home only requires 8 sensors.
